You can also read books digitally, offline. Offline means reading from your computer or another type of electronic reader, without having to use an Internet connection at that time. In order to read a book offline, you have to download it first. That means transferring the book as a computer file to your own reader. For reading a book off-line, this is usually referred to as e-books. One of the digital formats in which e-books are supplied is PDF format. Many people already use Adobe Reader, which is a computer programme by Adobe for reading PDF files. You can download Adobe Reader for free at www.adobe.com.
