You can read the books in paper or digital form. You can read the books digitally on an electronic screen. That could be your computer screen, but also a laptop, mobile phone or special e-reader. 

You can read digitally either online or offline. Online takes place directly via Internet, just as you are reading this text now. In order to make full use of the specific possibilities of online digital reading, we are developing our own online reading environment which we will simply refer to as online'. You can access this environment by clicking on the link. Since this environment is still being developed, not everything is working as intended. In computer terms, this is referred to as a 'beta' phase of development. 

In our online reading environment, you can not only read books digitally but also compare a piece of text from the books with the text in a different language, or read the first Dutch edition of it. You can also request a scan of the first Dutch edition. In addition, you can change the format of the text according to your own preferences. You can change the type of font, the size of font, the colour of font, the background colour and the alignment.
